Who – COVA is a national network of voluntary organizations in India that has operations from grassroots initiatives to international policy interventions. COVA strives to promote peace, harmony and empower people to secure their rights and social justice in South Asia. COVA’s advocacy ensures that all private schools keep aside 25% of their seats to admit poor students free of charge as per RTE Act 2009. Over 100,000 poor students can get free education in high quality private schools in Hyderabad alone. COVA Promotes Responsible Global Citizenship especially among School and College Students through holistic education and personality development. Facilitate Intercommunity Relations and Interfaith Dialogue to promote harmony and prevent violence. Network with civil society groups, academia and media for effective advocacy initiatives for formulation of pro-poor policies, especially in the field of education, health, civic amenities and employment. Research and Studies at the local, state, national and international levels for informed advocacy.
What – There is a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between COVA (Confederation of Voluntary Associations) – India and NASIM Foundation that any funds donated to COVA (Confederation of Voluntary Associations) – India by NASIM Foundation will be used for the advocacy of education of orphans and underprivileged children and coaching/training for students.
